The Chipotle (top of list) is not just dried but smoke dried. I think some of the others are as well.

@shiney the originator of that fact sheet couldn't even get the first sentence to make sense but most wouldn't notice because the illustrations are quite arresting so would take the text as fact. :)

I need someone to ship me more time to attend my peppers. They are shouting "pick me, pick me!" and I've been absent.

On a different note, I thought of Sarafi today because I delivered bouquets of catnip to friends with pussies. Still got lots to share too. Too bad there's no such thing as dognip. That would be fun to share as well :)

@CanadianLori I gave up trying to understand what they actually meant to say. :noidea: I assumed they were trying to translate from Mexican. :)

Sarafi is getting older now but still looks a bit like a kitten. He's certainly not shy about asking for food and strokes! :cat-kittyandsmiley: Food seems to win over strokes in the priorities. :heehee:

How did the chilli bread go and was it too hot for them?

Yep, noticed that myself. found it floating on facebook. never new name change between fresh and dried, either smoked or not, just interesting to know the name changes when it leaves its original form.

Something strange (a pod growing inside a pod?).

I found two pods with this strange growth inside whilst deseeding.

Does anyone know what it is?

It occurs frequently in all the pepper family. :blue thumb: I think it's just a baby/twin growing in it.

Reapers and scotch bonnet slowly but surely coming along but the flowers are dropping after a while, I only water once a week unless it gets overly hot in the greenhouse so am I looking at none pollination? 20190927_172338.jpg 20190927_172239.jpg

Sorry, I didn't answer your question  Once a week watering isn't really sufficient during the growing stage. We water almost every day and once the flowers are opening we feed them once a week. Chillies should only be stressed by intermittent watering when the fruits are maturing well and you want them to develop hotter and quicker, but it cuts down on the number of new chillies growing.

We've now sold most of our chilli plants and the charity is happy. :)

We delivered the Naga orders for the local restaurants but they didn't want as many as usual as some of our plants from last year are still growing :rolleyespink:. So I dropped some into the Asian wholesalers last week, all the proceeds of the sales going to the charity :blue thumb:, and they tell me that almost all have gone already. :hapydancsmil:

I've pickled a lot of mine, they're easier to use without getting it on my hands, I've tried wearing gloves but juices go through them.
