Is everyone safe around the country? The Isle of Man where I lived before moving here has declared a state of emergency and is at a standstill . All emergency services and the civil defence are doing what they can. My daughter and family are safe - living on high ground in the Laxey area and she has offered help to any that need it.

      We’re ok here...
We’ve had 16mm of rain so far, between 7am-midday, but we are on the higher ground around Brussels, and also the highest point of our town. Seeing the flooding on the way home, I wouldn’t like to be living around Tervuren and the other low-lying areas right now.

My apologies Sian. :) I thought it was only Britain that's been affected by the current weather.

Thanks @Sheal for asking, It's a bit soggy here in redditch west midlands but no flooding only where the brook is but it won't affect the houses.
                      Be safe everyone

A day where the temperature struggled to reach 50f with a rainfall, during the night, of 2mm. We've had no further rain during the day, the breeze has been coming from the SouthWest, while the skies have remained totally cloud covered, while the pressure reading is 987hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

It was a dry mostly sunny day where I work.
10 miles away, at home there appeared to be at least one heavy shower, but it was dry when I got home.
                            Just started raining again now.

@lolimac I'm glad to hear you haven't asked @ARMANDII for the lone of his waders.

I haven't got a tv so all I've seen is news of Laxey via my computer. There are many other places on the island that will be under water too. Stupid people that leave their cars parked on Douglas promenade when they know bad weather is due should have learnt their lesson by now. It's not just water damage they suffer but rocks are thrown over the sea wall too.

Thanks everyone for your local reports and good to hear you need nothing more than wellies at the moment. :dbgrtmb: Keep us up to date please, especially with 'Lorenzo' on it's way.

After a lovely sunny morning here, there were a few misty showers this afternoon while it continued to shine. Currently 6C/43F.

We had 11mm of rain on Monday night, followed by over 20mm of rain yesterday - there was a series of thunderstorms coming through around 9pm.
It’s currently 9c, with a forecast high of 13c, and a low of 6c overnight. Fully overcast at the moment, but they are saying we have a day off rain today, before it returns tomorrow.
