    You know Christmas is on its way when Fat Controller gets his finger out and gets you some smileys to play with.....

    I can't restore the old ones unfortunately, but have tried to give as good or better than we had.

          Finally decided to go to Quebec for Christmas. Its a close flight for us, and will still give me that "European flavor" of Christmas. Just was not into a 12 hour flight + . Have a nice place in Old City to stay in for 5 nights. Booked a restaurant for Christmas Eve and Day. Looking at booking some walking tours. Anyone about in Quebec then, let me know, maybe a meet up would be nice.

            Tesco started getting their frozen turkeys in last week. Why would anybody want to buy one now and fill their freezer with it 11 weeks before Xmas?

                      It's best to get it early before they sell out. We had one a few weeks ago from Tesco.I cooked it and portioned it up and put in freezer to use on Sundays.They'll be half price sometime. In the freezer there's one for Christmas that i had the last time it was on offer.I kept it because it was a very large bird.

                              the food store I mainly shop at gives you points when you shop toward discount for a Turkey. With enough points you can sometime get a free 15lb turkey. Or pay the balance using points and money, like five dollars + points= 15lb turkey. They have larger.
