As of tomorrow I am retired, no more work, no more travelling and no more hassle!

And NO more difference because it's retirement in name only, I'll be retiring fully at the end of September, I owe it to my faithful clients to find suitable replacements?

Early retirement I hasten to add!

Yesterday was my husbands first retirement day. Now I have a list for him to work on. I am still not done yet, its all me, to set the date.

That may sound funny but we had a neighbour who actually had similar rules. Out of the house by 10 a.m. and not back in until 4 p.m. :rolleyespink:

It's hard work when you reach the age when you start considering retirement. It becomes a predicament you can't stop thinking about.

I could probably retire now, I'm 55, but would it turn out to be the best thing or the worse thing I've ever done?

I have a yard selling timber to the general public and there's only me involved. I could literally get up after posting this message and go and close the gate and that would be it, done, retired. Or I could go on into my 80's or as long as I please.

Some days I feel like packing it in and some days I love it and think I'd love to carry on forever.

                          Hmmmm.

Retirement is a bit like Brexit.

                            It never really happens .

Not a problem for me, Mrs Trunky is still at work.

I retired back in July Vince, just a couple of weeks before you. Never been so busy.

I prefer to pre-empt any lists Mrs T might come up with by making lists of my own and then taking a long time to get through them. Still haven't finished my September list yet.
