Baroness Doreen Lawrence says she has “no doubt” that racism was involved in the Grenfell Tower tragedy, saying: “Had that been a block full of white people in there, they would have done everything to get them out as fast as possible and make sure that they do what they needed to do.”

She said: “Nobody wanted to mention the word ‘race’ in the whole thing. Cos when I saw the residents who lived in that block, to me it was under no doubt around the racism that existed at that time.”

Wow - and this coming from a black member of the Peerage.

Fight as hard as you can against racism - and then we get comments like this.

 

There is no answer to this other than, I know what you mean, say any more and you're in trouble.

Only white people are racists, it's a known fact, by the media anyway.

 

This is awkward. There is a lot I would like to say, in favour of this woman, perhaps also some points not so favourable.

Her general attitude has become such. That the world owes her, especially the non black populus. Right or wrong the poweres to be havebowed to her constant outbursts and aggressiveness and in an attempt to keep her quiet, she was made a Dame.

She is still shouting the odds.

I love people and I am always willing to help everyone. It is so often said or sked. Where would our public services be, our NHS if it wasn't for the loyal and loving work our friends, brothers and sisters who,so their skin is darker than mine.

Yesterday I being treated by a black nurse at Guys. We chatted, laughed together and when leaving a realy warm and sincere hug. Why not.

Who knows. Should a general election result in a labour government. Diane Abbot might be our next Home Secretary!!
