    Hi,

    Thanks clanless; yes a useful skill to have but given the cost of TIG welding it might be cheaper to dump a rusty car and buy another car? 200A Tig welder AC/DC £1,000, top of the range helmet £400; Argon gas cylinder with gas £200; then comes tungstens; tungsten collets & collet holders; assorted filler rods; stainless steel wire brush and acetone for cleaning aluminium; TIG welding gloves etc; I'm a novice TIG welder and have already used £180 gas but for anyone who can afford TIG welding it's a fascinating subject to get involved in; YouTube is full of TIG welding videos. If of interest have a nosy;

    Blown my welder up.

    I'm so up to speed with UK politics I can't recognize 99% of the MP's but then the MP's only recognise my money? I've got lots of hobbies to play with.

    Sorry if I'm off topic but so is the UK government when it comes to governing. We'll all be expected to believe things will get better but after the general election we'll sink back into the abyss.

    Kind regards, Colin.

        There are plenty of reasons why I think Brexit will be a disaster for England, but they are certainly nothing to do with 'opportunism' or wanting 'to keep my options open'. My choices were made many years ago. I would be the first to admit, though, that as I contributed to the English system for my entire working life, and my pension (if I live long enough to ever see it) is reliant on the English government, the decisions made there do and will have a profound effect on my life. As do the fluctuations in the exchange rate. I'm not whingeing.....anyone who chooses or is obliged to live abroad knows the score. But as someone who has never lived there and whose mother didn't, apparently, count loyalty as high on her list of priorities, may I suggest that you're not particularly well-placed to form a judgement on the politics and implications of Brexit? Ah, sorry, it's 'just my opinion'. Fine.
        Just out of interest, why should dual citizenship be the start of a 'slippery slope'?

              "But the truth is, Boris’s treaty isn’t Brexit."

              Quote from an MEP's twitter account. He's correct - but the key word here is 'withdrawal' - hence the Withdrawal Agreement - a necessary 'holding' period while we prepare to withdraw fully from the EU. At least it's part Brexit until the end of 2020 when we will be fully out.

              Some one needs to have a quiet word with this MEP - his comments give the impression of a lack of understanding - Joe Public grasped the concept of the Withdrawal Agreement some time ago.

                            Great Britain is just the name of the island that is divided into England, Wales and Scotland.

                            Northern Ireland is on the island of Ireland. As is the country of Eire.

                            The United Kingdom is the name of the country that comprises the above plus N.I.

                              My local Labour MP has just launched his election campaign in the local paper. He still has no idea that he will be receiving his P45 on the 13th December. Talk about head in the sand.

                              Emily Thornberry - the Shadow Foreign Secretary - leaves me speechless - have you seen her latest interview on Good Morning Britain? It's painful.

                                Sorry @Loofah , not quite right......

                                Nigel Farage isn't fielding candidates in the 317 seats that the Conservatives won in 2917. He is however still putting up candidates in the other 333 seats.

                                Edit......... it was 2017, I haven't suddenly time travelled 900 years :)
