Hi! I’m back from shopping and had lunch with my hubby, I bought Xmas cards, wrapping paper & flowers for our house, I’ve also just swept up all the leaves in the front garden and moved plant pots about.
Just sat down with my lemon tea and watching a place in the sun (Spain)

        Aloha everyone,

If you start to get withdrawal symptoms then I have lots you can come and sweep up here. This is just a sample of how much there is as it's only the start of my leaf clearing season. I love trees but they're a pain sometimes!

        P1110624.JPG

I don't know how much I'll get done today as it depends on how cold it is.

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

          Morning all:)

Your leaf pile like looks like ours @shiney !:autlvs: I love living here and being surrounded by trees but must admit it gets a bit daunting in the Autumn!

Definitely a thermal wearing morning in the garden today but should be nice by this afternoon.

          Have a lovely day everyone.:spinning:

@Upsydaisy we end up with about ten times that much :phew: but it's surprising how quickly it settles down to a much smaller amount. I have four compost heaps about that size, or bigger, but I use a 6ft plank of wood to bash it down before adding more. :blue thumb:

Oh gosh yes so do we by the end of the drop season!! @shiney !!
We have 3 huge compost containers and many smaller ones around the garden that are filled and emptied into one of the container ones.

I don't leave leaves in piles as they will either blow away ( being in a wind tunnel) or we'd get 'hogs'in them and then they would have to be disturbed at some point later. I chop them and compost straight after collection.

We live in an area that was once, and mostly is still, two large woods that merged together. Where we live is actually named after one of them. So we can't escape falling leaves!!!

We have an area in the garden that is designated to encourage wildlife to overwinter undisturbed in safety.:blue thumb:

Hi Upsydaisy and Aloha Shiney, my that’s a lot of leaves :yikes: nowhere’s near what I have done, I feel for you both.

Just on my dinner break, it’s been steady here but plenty work to be done, it’s cold here too so got my fleece on permanently.

Have a lovely afternoon all :)

                  Aloha everyone,

Another nippy day today but it will be a nice one.

I have lots of work to do indoors so not much gardening for me.

Keep well and have a great day

Good morning everyone, been taking a break from the pc but now must try and catch up. Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above safe and well. Called to the doctors surgery yesterday to have a diabetic check, feet mainly and today I have to go for a blood test. So they are catching up with me! Still in trouble with my knee and legs. but I keep up with the volterol and CBD muscle ointment. It all helps a little. It's another cold one this morning but yesterday covered in frost with bright sunshine was beautiful. Not so lovely looking this morning. Well Amber's walk time. See you all later.
                      God Bless. :wub2:

Oh @moyra I'm so happy to read your post....but sorry you're still in pain with your knees and legs. Now that now you've been 'caught' hopefully you'll be sorted out properly.
I must admit we all were concerned for you but I know what you mean about needing a computer break now and then.
                        Enjoy your walk with Amber.:spinning:

The sun has now just about burnt off the frost. I did some work out there but my fingers got too cold.

                            Morning!:)
Worn out after an enjoyable day with my friend in town...we talked and laughed for the whole 7hrs we were there.

One appointment to attend to in the other nearby town this morning and then hopefully an afternoon in my Dad's garden. I will have to take my waterproofs as there is a chance of some rain later and I don't want to have to pack up if it does arrive.

                            Have a great day everyone!:)
