It's been a dull, (again:wallbanging:), and cloudy today with middle to high 40f's. There's been no breeze today, but it did try to rain for a while, but that petered out very quickly. Right now the temperature is 48f, it's still dry but cloudy, and the pressure reading is 980hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

@Retired Have you thought of popping over there and sorting out the raging fires. You could take Blackie with you and it will all be done. :dbgrtmb:

We had rain during the night and it remained very damp but not raining all day long. Quite mild.

Was just thinking it must be about 3 months since ive had 2 or more sunny days in a row. It was near dark by 2:00 pm today.

Going to start taking vitamin D for the first time in my life to combat the lack of sunlight.

This will have to do me till next "summer"

              Hi,

Many thanks shiney; the bus ride is rather too long but I'd be delighted to send Blackie on a one way journey although I think the Aussies would quickly tire of flooding.

3 months since you last saw two consecutive days of sunshine Wee Tam you must have been in West Yorkshire at the time it being our long summer this year. It didn't get to daylight today here it's been the usual wet black hole but was pleasant in the workshop with five 2' square LED panel lamps switched on and the fan heater running. I'll warm up when I receive the electric bill.

              Kind regards, Colin.

I think November is the bleakest, most miserable month of any year Strongy. Roll on December! :)

I agree that February is the most miserable. Yes, we've had a cloudy, chilly November with only a few days of sunshine (today:)) as usual but by February I'm getting tired of the cold and snow and dark days. It is depressing. And March over here is still darned cold but at least we see more old sol.

It got up to 35f and my solar panels caught enough rays to supply tonight's fan operation in the greenhouse.

The guessers have told me that another sunny day is scheduled for tomorrow. Talk about getting spoiled!

And in the morning whilst listening to Corrie I shall be baking more Christmas cake and running outside during commercial breaks to rake leaves. Justification for taste testing the cakes-neutral caloric results.. :)

I have a different view of the months.

Here in Shineyland November varies from bright leaf fall days through some rain and gloom but with always the best sunsets.

February, a cheerful start to Spring, is almost always cold and sunny, with some bright snowy days and burgeoning colour throughout the garden. We have lots of colourful flowers cheering the view. witchhazel, daffs, lots of snowdrops and hellebores, camellias, crocus, heather, sarcoccoca, euphorbia, iris, jasmine, daphne etc. and happy bees enjoying them.
