    Hi,

No Blackie but sunny intervals forecast for today so what's in-between the sunny intervals?

The temperature has got its lead boots on with frost and ice but it's not all bad news; I've just tested our Michelin Cross Climate tyres while doing the usual supermarkets shopping.:)

I'll force myself into the workshop today. :yahoo:

    Kind regards, Colin.

Lovely day yesterday sitting in the sun enjoying a glass of red following Thanksgiving dinner at a favourite restaurant. Temp was about 18c. Today and tomorrow forecast for same, which is normal for this time of year.

There was no sign of frost this morning, although there was ice on the garage roof, and the temperature was 27f when I went for the morning amble, and Jenny for her patrol, in the garden. We had had 5.7mm of rain during the night but the skies were coldly clear with not a cloud in sight when I opened the Kitchen door to view the conditions. The temperature rose to 40f by 1pm and is now 32f, with the pressure reading of 1001hpa. It's going to be a cold night tonight........

There was a little bit of frost this morning that was soon burnt off by the sun. Frost is back already!

Yesterday I had a slight struggle getting my driver's door open at 7 p.m. because it was frozen, Then had the same problem when wanting to come home at 11.30 p.m.

My last car, same model apart from new updates, never had that problem in the eleven years I had it :dunno:

It's 23F/-5C and very frosty. No birds on the bird feeders. No breeze but there's already a hint of sunshine creeping up over the horizon.

Get some Vaseline and wipe around the rubber door seals, sometimes works

Blue skies peeping through some light clouds. Had a really lovely sunny day yesterday and are to have more of the same today too albeit with slightly more cloud this afternoon. High of 9C with a low tonight of 2C.

                              Hi,

Yesterday we had a black car now every car on the street is white after a severe overnight frost; the wheelie bin lids are welded closed; water dishes outside frozen but the real icing on the cake NO BLACKIE.

Yesterday morning I gathered all the oak leaves; after dinner I finally had a window without Blackie so washed and dried the car; later I had a soak in the bath. Now with everything sorted I could finally settle in the workshop this weekend to some TIG welding?

4 o'clock this morning my plans of TIG welding were well and truly scuppered; it's an awful long story but I've been trying to get into the workshop to practice TIG welding for over 14 weeks; the new welder exploded; now on my third gas supplier; the regulator was faulty making it highly dangerous; yesterday I collected a new full cylinder of gas; I now have a brand new BOC regulator; the welder is working fine; full cylinder of gas; new regulator; filler rods; tungstens with collets and collet holders; spent a small fortune on sheet aluminium so why can't I weld?

When I took my faulty regulator to be tested it still had the flow meter attached; the flow meter is either with The Wakefield Welding Center or has been collected by Parweld; TWWC is closed Saturdays; on Monday it will be yet another journey to Wakefield; I'll return home with a flow meter even if it means buying another then I can look forward to the next problem to resolve. I feel very privileged having both the new welder explode and the new regulator faulty it must be unique.

I'm about to wrap up like an Eskimo and wander down to the workshop; once the fan heater gets a grip I'll soon be cosy and can shut out the world's problems. Me miserable; not likely; I just hope I live long enough to become proficient at TIG welding. There are always those who are better off than me. :rasp:

                              Kind regards, Colin.
