Wonderful pictures Victoria. It seems effortless with the right climate, but I know that you have put a lot of work in. And there is us in the UK struggling to replicate just a few of your plants.

Thank you Peter and nice to see you visiting.

We have had notification from EDP (our electricity supplier) that we have till the end of December to cut back the Jacaranda (the one we left by the lane) and the Almond tree as they are interferring with the lines. T'other Half has contacted them as we understand they will do it free of charge so waiting to hear from them.

This is a colouful time of year for us, but also our rain season, which of course is good. I have 7 'plantlets potted on to plant in the Spring. I have a Red Bougainvilla, a Pseuderanthemum laxiflorum (Shooting Star), an Hibiscus Pagoda Red, an Abutilon megapotanicum, a Justica carnea, a Clerodendum ugandense and an Iochroma fuschioides red. I bought these on line as plantlets (15-30cm tall, well rooted) from Spain and Portugal. I also got some Fuschia boliviana alba and red (Peruvian Berry Bush) seeds as I couldn't get plantlets in Europe. As I am pretty useless with seeds, I have found this is the way to go and therefore I don't have to traipse around looking for unusual plants.

I will definitely be doing lots of these in the Spring.

@Victoria I hope your Clerodendrum ugandense takes off next spring as it can grow quite fast, I cut mine back at least twice a year as it would eventually hit the conservatory roof!
The only downside is that the flowers are very sticky, not good for a conservatory floor!!
