    I voted at around 5pm on driving back from Manchester after visiting friends and the Polling Station was the busiest I've ever seen it with the volunteers having to split the queue into two to get things going faster.
    In the candidates were 1 Green, 2 Lib Dems, 1 Labour and 1 Conservative.

      Better for exports, but I've never taken any notice on Sterling or Dollar rates as they're up and down more times that the lift in the Eifel Tower:dunno: It's nothing to do with the state of the finances but more to do with making a quick Billions worth of bucks on the world market.

        It was down to 1.09 Euros two weeks ago and 1.19 this afternoon. It's now balanced at 1.20

        I don't expect it to stay there even with the exit polls predicting a Tory clear lead.

        I'm just off to close up the polling station and then back to put my feet up with a cuppa and some chocolate :nonofinger: :heehee:

                Lab.......191 ( -71 )
                SNP....... 55 ( +20)
                LD.......... 13 ( +1)

                Sorry, I could only catch the main 4.

                If so this would mean Labours worst result in almost 80 years even beating Michael Foots defeat in 1983.

                My own opinion has been a Conservative landslide as I said on here around a month ago. Personally, I'd like to see the poll being slightly down and the Conservatives being around the 390/400 mark.

                        yes same here, I voted late after work, the girls manning our station said they had a fantastic turnout...I had a quick look at their paperwork whilst they were looking for my name, I could clearly see most people had been to vote
