    Decided to try to power my air input to fish pond using a simple windmill.
    Hey Presto, two useful articles on here.
    Me - I'm a semi-retired swimming pool installer, with a keen interest in grow your own and general garden plants.
    Installed four raised beds last year and had excellent results with tomatoes, marrow, beans, potatoes, lots of herbs, gourds, strawberries and much more.
    Looking forward to the new season BUT at the end of last crops of tomatoes, blight devastated what had been brilliant crops from several varieties.
    Any tips please for treating beds before I kick off planting again?
    Regards
    JG

      Loads on the internet, but in a nut shell - plant the same bed with a different plant group each year, so:

      Yr 1 - legumes;
      Yr 2 - brassicas;
      Yr 3 - root veg;
      Yr 4 - go back to legumes and so on.

      It's all to do with nitrogen - by the time you reach Yr 3 - the nitrogen in the soil will have been depleted and by planting legumes in Yr 4 you will replenish it.

      Enjoy...:spinning:
