Yes, I did eddybaby :) and I find that Robins are also the last to bed down at night. The little fellow above is often looking for a morsel to eat past dusk.

I've seen your Robins Lori and yes, they are quite a bit different to ours. A picture when the time comes will be appreciated.:)

This is an old picture but I had two pairs of Yellowhammers visiting yesterday, a bird not very often seen in gardens.

I receive trivia emails and this one transmitted to me this morning:

"A group of owls is called, depending on the region you’re in, a parliament, a wisdom, a bazaar, or a study."

What are a group of owls called over there?

          Just curious. Thank you :)

Hello @CanadianLori my friend a group of Owls are called a "Parliament "over here,Owls are generally solitary, but when seen together the group is called a “parliament” as they have long been considered to be of a wise disposition. In Greek mythology, the owl is the symbol for Athena, the goddess of wisdom:smile:

Siskins are coming more regularly now but only one pair so far.

Stock Dove at Upton Country Park near Poole, not a common bird and very rarely comes near gardens. It has a 'kinder' face than the wood Pigeon,

Although more common than the Grey Heron now, this Little Egret had such a striking pose that I couldn't resist a shot or two.

Avocet, (one of 700+ in the harbour), another beauty from Brownsea Island this morning, stopped there for two hours during a Poole Harbour 4hr bird boat tour. The island is closed to the public from November the end of February (except for the bird boats).
