Which was presumably his intent? Nasty little sh**e that he is, just bitter about us leaving and now wants to stick the toe in.

I don't believe a word of it. Scotland whatever Tusk or Ms Sturgeon think, can't financially afford to be part of the EU. And what has Scotland got that they would want? Nothing that I can think of.

That's what I think as well :blue thumb:. He's just deliberately stirring things to try and put pressure on our government.

Some Dutch town has also started flying the scotland flag in place of the union jack. I don;t think any of them realise just how fruitless an application from Scotland would be at this point.

Hopefully many Scots still remember the threats that were made against Scotland and the Scots during that referendum. They were all at it. Obama stuck his nose in with his threats, but most annoying was the two faced Europeans.
BARROSO really went to town on it. Head of the Eu at the time and made all sorts of direct threats.
So as far as Im concerned the European Commision can stick their fake token friendship towards Scotland.
And Nicola Sturgeon is a mug if she falls for it too.

Sturgeon couldn't lie straight in bed. If her lot could extract their heads from their backsides, they would see just what a mess they are making of Scotland. Too busy banging on about independence, yet on the other hand shouting about rejoining the EU (or being forced out of the UK against their will) - the fact that more Scots voted to leave the EU than voted for SNP completely eludes them.

There are likely some in the EU that see Scotland as an opportunity to divide and conquer to get the UK to beg to rejoin, and Sturgeon is being the manipulating wee shrew that she is and using Brexit as a reason to call another referendum. I suspect she, in her heart of hearts, couldn't really give two hoots about whether Scotland is in the EU or not - it is merely an excuse for another referendum. Yet another stupid idiot that does not seem to understand how democracy works.

Auld Billy Bunter there, sticking his neck out yet again. They have control over their own NHS budget (and coincidentally would appear to have made a bit of a mess of it), and yet they also want to stick their oar in to the English NHS budget. We could of course have a situation where all UK MP's could vote, thus allowing the SNP crew their vote - - but then, what would be the point in having devolved parliaments?

Looks like the Democrats are really serious about losing the US Presidential elections. Look at this:

                          nancy.jpg

                          Nancy ripping up Don's speech.

No matter your view on Don - he is the President - and Nancy is showing disrespect to the office.

When will she realise - the more she attacks Don - the stronger his voting base becomes.

She did that because he refused to shake hands with her when they both came into the hall. :noidea:

Actually, clanless, you could argue that she's showing disrespect for Trump rather than the Office and that Trump is the one showing disrespect for the Presidency. A lot of countries and people have a lot of respect for America.....but none for Trump.:dunno::coffee:

Modern politics tends toward the farcical, it's quite an absurd state of affairs. We saw what happened in the UK and gosh I hope that's settling down (with Boris?!) but in the US democracy ended some while ago when Trump removed all but the 'yes men'. I cannot imagine the level of fear in the white house, being under the heal of a tyrannical and vindictive president. I have the utmost respect for the US Presidential office but nothing but contempt for Trump, his cronies and the policy machine
