        When I was younger, we lived in a place that had no electricity for a while so it was gas lighting, gas fire and battery radio for company. Something nice about those mantles glowing away, although I believe now they are made from different stuff as the ones we had were bad for health in some way or other.

          Weather is all quiet at the moment but we are due some heavy rain and gusty winds again tonight.Wind speeds of 45mph just after midnight. Still holding off fixing our fence.
