That reminds me , I bought some sardines a few weeks back...yum...love them on toast too. Also love tinned tomatoes on toast with a pinch of basil and loads of vinegar!!

I'll have one of them for my tea tomorrow.:dbgrtmb:

Thanks for reminding me of what I like Woo, and for reminding what I have lurking in my cupboard too!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I had mushy peas once and they were so salty I couldn't eat more than a few fork loads. Sardines :eeew:

I'm trying to keep on a lower calorie intake and this thread is definitely helping me curb my appetite!

On a Saturday we have tinned tomatoes and baked beans on toast. Fried egg, hubby has a few fried potatoes and two sausages, also we have fried red onions with garlic and chilli.

To keep the calories down i don't put margerine on my toast and my egg is cooked in the microwave like a plain omelette.

Last night was chicken and veggie stir fry.

Starter, spicy lentil soup (made enough for a week).
Chicken, onion, garlic, ginger, chilli, carrots, celery, courgettes, green beans, mushrooms.

Tonight will be rack of lamb for me, roast chicken for Mrs S, roast spuds, cabbage and cauli.

A younger person that is helping us with shopping had a big veg and fruit box delivered (click and collect) and dropped in a very large cabbage and very large cauli. I picked 10lb of rhubarb for them.
