My petrol strimmer has given up the ghost and I'm looking to replace it with a Gtech cordless grass trimmer. The advert and video looks like it would be ideal for my needs i.e. trimming round the edge of raised beds where the mower doesn't quite reach. Does anyone have one and would they recommend it?

Alana not used the G-Tech strimmer, but have experience of using a Warrior Eco Power Equipment cordless strimmer which is very similar. So in answer to your question I would suggest which ever product you decide on it is well worth it. They are great for doing the jobs you mention and a lot less noisy and smelly as the petrol versions. Also no worries about dragging a lead along with you wherever you need to reach.

I use a B and D cordless strimmer, which is great for light trimming of grass etc etc . I t uses a nylon strimmer cord. Does the Gtech use a plastic blade? Bosch used plastic blades and they did not get great reports. May be worth checking it out.
