Rescued from a bed that was being dug up, hasn't produced any interesting features yet and I'm starting to suspect weed rather than intentional plant.

    Hi @savageHK ,

It's an Astilbe, don't know which one there are hundreds. They have large feathery spikes of tiny flowers in shades of red/pink/purple or white. Very much a good plant not a weed. Mine are just starting to put out their first flowering stems. Keep in half shade to shade and fairly damp.

Thanks! I was starting to doubt myself. It was previously in quite a sunny spot, I'll move it to a shadier spot (luckily I have several of those recently cleared from the overgrowth!).

It seems to reproduce fairly easily by breaking up the root clump, is that right? (Unhelpfully I seem to have bindweed roots mixed in :( )
