Got into the greenhouse and repotted a few orchids. Lots of the phalaenopsis from my house are flowering so well I can't repot them - though they need it. Ordered extra bark to make up more compost on Monday and it arrived yesterday! 70 litres, so that will keep me going for a few more pots.

Sort of in the garden..... 30 mins of rain free weather allowed me to weed another albeit soggy border, the weeds were very easy to remove compared to before the rain when the ground was like rock!!
Then took the houseplants into the greenhouse to repot/ top up with fresh compost, divided up a Peace Lilly. Gave all their leaves a good clean as well.:)

That reminds me @Upsydaisy I'll be able to do some weeding, when the rain stops. :)

Started feeling a bit better this afternoon which was times well with a plant delivery. 6 Alstromeria Inticancha Indigo. As there was a break in the rain I thought I’d plant them straight in the bed that I was preparing in the front garden. Then I fed the fish and did the last fish pond treatment. Hopefully all the fishes will be in a healthier condition now.

            Hi @Snorky,

Sorry to hear about your problems, some folk are just plain sick troublemakers.

Your shingles did remind me of the other year when I was last at the surgery and they suddenly said here is a Shingles injection as well.

Looking on the NHS web site, seems it can also be given to folk who have already had Shingles.
Might help reduce the problem in the future, if you have not already had one ?

Ah, yes I saw that @ricky101 ! My neighbour also told me she has had it, but apparently it’s only available for ages 70-79. So i’ll have to wait another 35years :heehee: I did then read that you can pay for it privately for between £100-200, but then only 50+ age group can do that. Shame really, but I guess it can’t be as effective for the younger age brackets or maybe it affects older age groups much worse. Either way-I’m bloomin stuck with it. Feeling a bit better this evening compared to this morning though.

My back lawn was like concrete. It’s had a good soaking over the last few days though.

still surfing the net for ideas of what and how to put plants, trees and shrubs back in our garden after having to chop everything down to install new fencing. We've done our boundary, now waiting for neighbour (tenants) to replace their boundary fence panel....being held up by ivy! :fingers crossed: hopefully it'll be soon so we can get screening plants again. Feel very exposed

Garden? dodging the rain and hail in the greenhouse, mixed up a large batch of potting compost, fed the chicken and between the rain and hail, started to clear this years veggie plot ready for planting, only small because next doors willow has rendered the bulk of my veggie area unusable.

Oh my gosh :wub2: these photos are stunning!

I haven't been in the garden today really. (Decorating in the house) Checked on the seedlings no sign of any movement yet. It's meant to be quite sunny and dry here the rest of the week. So hopefully I'll be out there soon. Noticed mares tail in the border though :wallbanging:

Yes mine too. I've been having to rake moss out twice weekly so had to hold off so I didn't take it to within an inch of its life ha badly lawn.
