    Hi All.
I'm Timnotthegardener. You may well ask why I've joined this forum. Well, I've lived in this area for all of the years (35) that I've owned a house/garden. In all of those 35 years I've always been put off of gardening because the soil here is heavy clay....and I mean heavy. The reason I've joined this forum is because I finally want a garden I can enjoy being in. I'm more a car man. My cars are always gleaming and scrupulously maintained and I love driving them and now after all these years I want a garden of a similar standard. I dont think I'll ever be a gardener, knowing all the Latin names for all flora and fauna as I cant say as I particularly enjoy gardening, any more than I enjoy washing my car I guess, but I do enjoy the end results and that is a place I want to be. Hopefully you lads and ladies can help me out with all my questions I'm bound to have in the coming days, weeks, and months. Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Tim. :) You may be surprised to know that you're not the only new member that has said they "don't think they'll ever be a gardener". Like your cars, once involved it can be addictive and you could find yourself with another hobby. There's no need to know all the botanical names but if you look around the forum you'll find plants that you would like in your garden.
