He doesn't do Scotland any favours, that is for sure. Sadly, there are many like him, both in stature and in attitude. He must do some good as folks somewhere are voting for him.

This what I like to see:

International Trade Secretary Liz Truss and Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi will begin their discussions on Tuesday, Japanese newspaper Nikkei claimed. The ministers, who will speak via video conference, intend to strike a deal which would come into force from the start of 2021, Nikkei said.

          Another reason not to extend.

I wonder how much more I will be paying for my Jamesons - when we go WTO?

A price I'm willing to pay.

Unfortunately, the BBC are not impartial on the subject of brexit, I do not know why everyone is in a panic, the total of our trade with the EU is around 12%, the rest is on WTO rules, are these european companies going to risk loosing trade with us, 12% is not much in percentage terms, but it is a load of produce, cars, vans and other commercial vehicles, spare parts for these vehicles, beers wine and spirits, cheese, fruit and veg, and on the other foot, are the Spanish going to want to pay more for Scottish shellfish, will the dutch put the 10 million plants aday during peak season coming to the Uk, I doubt it.

Worth repeating. Trade is only part of it - taking back control - that's what Brexit is all about. I reckon that's why many people voted for Brexit. As the EU collapses in on itself - the remainers will all suddenly fall silent.

Nissan are in deep trouble financially and have been for years - that is why they disappeared in alongside Renault and Mitsubishi with Daimler (Mercedes) also being involved; when you buy a Nissan now, it is more French than Japanese, sadly.

However, that whole consortium are not daft - they are sabre rattling about a no deal Brexit, but I reckon that is the very reason that they shut the plant in Spain and are looking at making some Renault products in Sunderland too - in the event of a no deal, there is two brands nicely placed to sell into the UK market, and also produce to sell out to the US, Australia, NZ and so on (especially Aus and NZ for their RHD markets) and if there is a deal then they have another facility in Europe where there is space to expand not too far away and in a country that has already declared a strong desire to advance and invest in electric car design.
