            Today:

            preparing ground for my new poly tunnel;
            supping tea;
            stuffing chocolate in my face.

            Mainly the last 2...:thumbsup:

                That picture - almost spot on - except that bloke has hair...

                Working on back garden tomorrow - it never ends.

                I notice that Morrison's have got their garden plants in - some very nice looking camellias included. Might pick some up for the allotment.

                        I will do :blue thumb: - haven't been down there since the lock down - although I've been told that it's still open. The quarterly plot inspection was due today - but all inspections have been cancelled for this year - a number of the allotment holders (like me) - prefer to stay at home and we don't want to penalize them.

                        My poly tunnel was delivered a couple of weeks ago - it's just sitting in the conservatory waiting to go down there and be assembled. I'll post up the pic's when it's done.

                        One upside - I purchased a load of flower seeds via the allotment association - to populate the garden here and the allotment. My Mum's garden will be getting the allotment plants - so it should look fab this year.

                        Don't know how my newly planted Cherry Laurels are doing - or the strawberry plants - or the apple saplings. The strawberry and apples were planted a couple of months before lock down - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they have survived.

                        I'll see when we get out of the other side.

                          Lock down restrictions are being lifted here is Wales - I can now visit another household within a 5 mile radius if I maintain a 2m social distance.

                          My allotment is 7 miles away....:scratch:.

                            I wouldn't worry it's only 2 miles extra and anything goes.

                              Just snuck down to the allotment for 5 mins - on the pretense that I was doing some local shopping.

                              As it was 7.30 pm - fairly safe bet no one else will be there. Someone was, but he also had to do some shopping (I don't believe him for one minute - sounds like an excuse to me). Didn't touch the lock or gate as the other guy waited for me by the gates. We did have a good moan though.

                              Looks like the cherry laurel and honeysuckle have survived as have the apple trees - but the weeds - my God - they're everywhere and 2 foot tall.

                              Most of the other allotments are in a similar state - it looks like a weed bomb has hit the place.

                              I was told that the Chair is self isolating as he is exhibiting some symptoms - he's in the high risk category - I'll pray that it is not Covid-19.

                              If I'm found out to have gone down the allotment - I'm in for the high jump....

                                Well, I've just been told that I can go down the allotment any time I want from the 17th August.

                                Eye watering photos to follow shortly after the first visit.
