A brilliant song writer, I think. This is probably my favourite...

A funny thing. Neil Sedaka was definitely not the kinda thing I would listen to back in the day, my ‘thing’ was rock and blues music. A work colleague was going to throw away one of his albums (‘Laughter And Tears’) and asked me if I wanted it. I was actually quite surprised that it struck a chord with me (pun intended) :)

I tend to like a bit of everything but not all of anything in particular.
              If that makes sense.

Yes I agree, I can only take a few songs of one artist and that's it got to change to someone else.

Being semi bedbound many days, I am knitting and currently binge watching "Heartbeat" online, with its nostalgic sound track of 60s etc songs. I could not ID most of them as I was never into pop stuff, but the nostalgia is ... smiling.

Neil Sedaka worked with Connie Francis and wrote her 1958 No 1 hit Stupid Cupid

Ok,it's an app that you can download to a smartphone that listens to any music playing and almost immediately tells you who and the name of the song.

I thought Shazam was what Captain Marvel used to say

"He is the alter ego of Billy Batson, a boy who, by speaking the magic word "SHAZAM!" (acronym of six "immortal elders":Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury), can transform himself into a costumed adult with the powers of superhuman strength, speed, flight and other abilities."

That's the problem with you youngsters! :old:

You didn't know what you had missed. Captain Marvel was one of the biggest selling comics of the 40's.
