The pond has been lined and filled, now we just need to wait for the plants to grow and hopefully some frogs etc to find it. The walls will be rendered and then some more plant pots around the edge.

I'm so, so pleased with it. I've got some Angel's Fishing Rod plants still to come which I just love.

It’s great you’ve made a garden pond, the single most important thing you can do to attract wildlife. I hope you’ve made provision for amphibians climbing up to the pond as the outside walls are too steep. The far side may have a ramp which is not in view in the photograph.

Our plan was they'd get into it via the beach bit which is level with the border behind, might not look clear in the photo, the original retaining wall of the border forms part of the pond if that makes sense.

Topped up the stones in and out of the pond a little to help any froggy friends, and added a carex plant too.
