I got thinking about the growth. We had the tree cut back on 13 July 2019 then the Iochroma on 26 April and we were still defronding the Jacaranda then ... so that growth is in two months!!! The Iochroma in bloom was on 5 May!

And this is another angle with the Myrtus 'Tarantina' on 13 April (with tatty Strelizia 'Nicolai') ...

Things can grow quickly here. :rolleyespink:

@JWK I only grow the taller Alstroemerias as they are great for cut flower, Indian Summer is our favourite, several of us seem to have it.
Do you over winter all the Colocasias in the green house as well?

Indian summer is my favourite too, so reliable and constantly blooming. The one thing missing is fragrance.

All my Colocasia overwinter in the heated greenhouse, min 5C. In the past I tried drying off the corms and storing indoors but I couldn't reliably wake them up in the spring. So I keep them in their pots fairly dry and the Green leaved variety stays awake with a few ragged leaves. Black Magic is more tender and I haven't got them through a winter in the greenhouse, they succumb to fungal diseases and rot off. I bought fresh corms this spring and intend to have another go keeping them really dry over winter and better ventilated.
