      Currently 23c going ti 30+c and quite still. Went to 32c yesterday.

      The sky was a strange yellow this morning now bluish. This is due to a massive fire 20kms north of us in Sao Marcus da Serra in Algarve near the border of Alentejo. It started yesterday afternoon with two fronts occupying 225 firefighters, 57 vehicles and 11 aircraft but they seem to be getting it under control.       :fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

      Edit Just got a picture through on the on-line news of yesterday and saying they now have it under control.

        Gosh scary...we had a fire in Dorest recently that was quite devastating to wildlife sadly. Hope there wasn't human fatalities Vicky.:sad:

                Don't think so Upsy as it was not too near homes but I imagine there was wildlife loss. :frown:

                We are 30c now so staying in with the a/c on. I have got less tolerant of the heat these past few years. :phew:

                    We've been in the garden from early morning until 6pm , even had our dinner out there. Clouding over and a brisk breeze has picked up now. Oh well it was nice while it lasted!! I don't mind working in any weather come rain or shine ...but wind.:nonofinger:

                      It rained all day as I looked out of the window at work and getting back home I met up with the Gutter cleaning guy who managed to unblock my North facing front roof guttering and downpipe in the pouring rain after it had become blocked with Moss being washed off the roof.
                      Right now the Garden Weather Station is saying we've had 5.1mm of rain, the temperature is 54f, the skies are totally cloud covered, there's no real breeze, and the pressure reading is 1006.1hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:
