Didn't realise this Geranium was going to get quite so big, but its ok and fills a gap nicely and has been lovely. Its starting to go over a bit and I'm wondering whether I should chop it back (and by how much) to get another flush, or should I just let it do its thing and chop back in autumn?

The pictures don't really show it well but I attached them anyway if it helps.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Fred

Not something I grow, but Monty Donn was cutting his back to the ground last week I think.

If it`s still flowering then leave it. Once it has stopped, divide it.

    Hi,

We chopped ours back a few weeks ago, right down to about 50mm above the soil where you will see signs of new shoot.

They are now almost ready for a second flush, so might even get a third before the years out.

The ones we have only get about 300mm high, though they spread quiet easily, so you can always replace or move your current one for something lower growing, plenty of varieties and colours around.
