I ALWAYS had an ambition to run down an up-escalator! Now I am not even sure what STAIRS are any more. LOVED escalators though as they are easy on older knees.. ( POOOOOOOOOOR islander!!!!)

Our close is having the road resurfaced, so we've been watching and wondering how they're going to do it and if it's the right way.

        Window washing...only downstairs though.
We have 23 windows, two patio windows and a glass porch, so would hate to pinch all the fun from hubs!! So I have given him the added joy of doing his share with a picturesque view .....up on the scaffolding!!
        Always thoughtfull!!:heehee:

Short drive to Corfe and then walked 6 miles to Swanage along the Purbeck ridge, bus back to Corfe and home. Lots of ups and downs but good bit of exercise and ended up quite a hot walk. We would normally stop for lunch in Swanage but we are avoiding cafes and restaurants at the present so we took our own.
Good view of Corfe Castle (remains) from Chalow Hill.

Yesterday we went to the river to our friends' restaurant for lunch. We usually go every week as we bought our caravan there the week they took over the restaurant in September 2012.

As I've been incapacitated for a few days I've managed to catch up, a little bit, on paperwork. :phew:

too much still to do.

                      Take it easy @shiney

Done a pilates workout, gave dotty her tablets, emptied and reloaded the dishwasher and emptied it again (this mundane job drives me insane), cooked a red thai chicken curry for tomorrow night, sorted out the birds, done a load of washing. It's been difficult to do the boring jobs before allowing myself out in the garden as it's such a lovely day.

@Logan they look lovely. I like your cooling rack. I haven't seen any with the black finish over here and will keep an eye out for one. I'm addicted to kitchen stuff!

I nust put another 30 slats in the chain link fence. I had them all in the side where tne hillbillies live vut their dog must have thought it was a solid wall and started jumping against it. This is the second fence I paid for and it is only about 3 years old so I pulled the slats and am putting them over the other side where they are not really needed. I paid a lot for them and also do not want them to go to landfill so this is my solution. Got about 80 done in two mornings and the other 220 to go! I only do it whilst that area is shaded hence the slow pace of work.

And I'm off to the fabric store to buy more cloth to make more more clothes for grandaughter's new wardrobe.
