    @pete,..my first started blooming on May 1st,..this second one started about two weeks ago,..they are full of surprises :)

        Surprisingly Schizostylis coccinea has decided that as its name has changed to Hesperantha it will flower now instead of the autumn as expected.

                      Well its kind of short really, only 5ft, but I've kept it in a very small pot, only potted it on this year to something like an 8 inch.
                      Its got three other bunches of flowers, that is just the top one.
                      Its flowered for the last four years, I find the flowers strange as its not just the flowers that are red but the whole flowering stems as well.
                      I've got another Brachychiton acerifolium that is 8 ft high and never shown a sign of a flower.

                          Yes, just bung it in the garage, dry it off, loses all leaves and goes dormant, water it following spring and it comes back again.
