        Lens update,

The lens is on its way back to me i should receive it tomorrow, no remarks on any issues from Sigma so that's great news :),

From what i can make out the seller mainly uses Nikon lenses that must not make any noise when AF as Andy mentioned and thought it was a issue for the Sigma making the faintest of noise,

The lens stands me at £294.28 im pleased with this now knowing its been checked by Sigma and all is well,

I now need to learn how to use it :wallbanging::heehee:.

Very good quick service from Sigma.

I have both the Nikon D3400 and D5600 and I prefer the D3400 for most of my photography because I like, and am more familiar with, the controls. I use it mostly with a Sigma 150-600 telephoto lens for wildlife photography. Although I do take a lot of photos with the telephoto handheld I find a gimbal head tripod to be a great convenience when just waiting for the
          "perfect shot."

Actually, it was a blazing hot day and I think the duck may have draped some wet grass on her back to keep cool. It was swimming in plenty of vegetation so it also may have had it cling to her while submerged.

Partly due to this covid pandemic, I and my camera, Olympus evolt 500 dslr, have been confined to home. Honestly. I was so annoyed at myself when having charged the battery and taken a few shots. then, how do I upload to the computer? Granddaugter Chloee to the rescue. Then I find the puter won't accept the photos.

                    Anyway, the camera still works.

I see a lot of photos taken on mobile phones etc. Wowee, such definition. Technology is moving so fast. I wonder how long the traditional camera will continue.

If you have an xD-picture card reader you insert the card into the reader and you simply plug it into a USB port and transfer the photos to your computer.

Quite a while, Mike. A lot of photographers like the flexibility of a camera that is only a camera. Interchangeable lenses of different focal lengths offer the photographer so many ways to take an image in different situations. I have a smart phone but only use it as a camera on the rare occasions when I need to record some papers quickly and there's not a scanner around.

That might be because the Computer Operating System might not be the same as the Camera's. Do you know what Windows is on your Computer, Mike? It might also be that the software in the camera needs updating to bring it in line with your Computer software. If you have a USB cable for your Camera which will connect it to the Computer you can go to the Olympus Camera update site and download the software (Driver) to your camera which might help solve the problem.

I am using Win 7 home premium. For yons all has worked fine. I did at one point upgrade to wn 10. Things went heywire. Photos were lost and later turned up in odd places. So I changed back to win 7. I will try again at win 10

The Olympus Camera table says the E500 should be compatible with W7, Mike.

That could be a solution to the problem, Mike, although I have known of some failures. You would need a reader for the Compact Flash card of your camera.......

Mike it might be that you shot in RAW format rather than jPG and the puter hasn't the right codec to display
