    We handle the prescriptions differently.

Mrs Shiney regulates her prescriptions quite easily. The printed prescription lists all of them and she ticks or crosses what she wants (e.g. she doesn't need testing needles for her diabetes every time she needs her tablets). We then drop the prescription in the relevant postbox at the surgery (usually when they are closed) and just pick up the meds a week later. They have a very good distancing procedure for picking them up.

Mine is a monthly one (not meds) that most of the time I only need every three months. So I only put it in every three months - can't go longer than that without the computer saying the prescription is out of date.

With my first trip out yesterday since the release of lockdown here, I was annoyed to see that the now returning foreign holiday makers were completely flouting the regulations regarding mask wearing and distancing. I'm sure they have been made aware of what they must do. Do they think they are different to the rest of us? It made me feel quite uncomfortable around them and who knows whether they are bringing the virus with them to trigger higher numbers again. Until they return to their own countries at the end of the season I'll be avoiding the areas they automatically head for.

I am now wondering if I've made the right choice. I had a phone call this morning from Queen Mary's hospital, Eye clinic. Back in March, my appointment was put on hold, due to me being a vulnerable person (Covid-19).

The clinic are working Sats/Sun now to catch up. I was offered an appointment for Sat 8.8.20

I am concerned for my health.

If the appointment is at a set time and they ask you to stay out of the way until called then it will be OK.

The vets do a social distancing and we have to wear a mask when we take ours to have the booster, Barley's got to go this morning,When we arrive ,we have to stay in the car and phone them. They'll phone back when they're ready and we wait outside to be called in,but i won't be able to, i have to wait outside.

Mike if it's anything like my hospital appointment the place was empty you wait outside, I sat in my car, and only went to the entrance about 10 minutes before my time, they checked my temperature at the door.
Only three people waiting in the whole of the x ray area and pretty much straight in and out.
                Easier than normal really.

I found out why they have removed all the hand sanitizer the rumours are the Saturday night drunks were drinking the stuff.
But might be more to do with theft.

Daughter Amanda phoned me this evening. She has got an online slot at Tesco. Things are on the up & up. Now. All slots are the same. No specials for vulnerable persons. When we first began to use Tesco online shop, the delivery was about seven pounds. Then for the sick it was £2.00 Items were limited, in most case to 3 of the same item. Now today. All slots are equal and cost a fiver. So despite all the national news jargon. Are we to assume that more supplies are reaching the shops and soon, you the online shopper will get what you order and not substitutes. Good health to you all and please stay safe.

I'm lucky enough to have a Sainsbury's slot once a fortnight. There are no limits any more (online or in store) and if the order is over £40 there is no delivery charge - as long as you don't want it at peak times. I always have my delivery at 7.30 a.m. :blue thumb: I always stipulate 'no substitutions'.

The local health trust have reported both of these, down here, although people topping up their own bottles was more common a couple of months ago.
@Mike Allen I'm sure your appointment will be fine. As for supplies in supermarkets things have stabilised and shelves are mostly full although the local Sainsburys still has no Worcester Sauce or dried butter beans.

Maybe you'll have to go to the Worcester Sainsbury's :heehee:.

Online they're showing Lee and Perrin's in stock but not Sainsbury's own make.

No problems with deliveries here. We get two from Asda every week and have no problems with substitutions. Ebay and Amazon supply everything else we need.
Today I am venturing out by myself for a game of bowls (crown green)with my friend. Mrs H said what about social distancing? No problem as our bowls are always over 2 metres from the jack

No problems here about getting a delivery slot either. @Mike Allen ...my sister and brother have been contacted to say they will still get priority shopping slots...might pay to check that out if they become difficult to get one in the near future months.:dbgrtmb:
