Well I think the official term is a memorial plaque but the nickname is a death penny. Given to the relative of the soldiers who died in WW1

That's turned out really well Snorky. :) I presume being a plaque there is nothing on the other side?

That's right Sheal-they're just plain on the other side. Which I'm pleased about as I'd have had to faff about with a different type of moulding! The silicone stuff is brilliant.

I decided to make Mum a granny square blanket, similar to the one her mother made me when I was a child.

so I gave Mum this last month, whilst I was with her.

A friend saw it, and said “why don’t you do heart squares to go round it?”. I didn’t want to make it much bigger (the idea is that it’s smaller and more manageable than a fleece...) so I made a second one with hearts...

Loving all the crafty things. Not sure whether this falls under craft but when lockdown occurred, apart from hours in the garden, I dusted off my paint brushes. I hadn't painted for about 30 years. The miniatures are all local scenes... County Antrim. The cathedral is Lincoln with the red arrows going over. 20200711_111634.jpg 20200728_160905.jpg 20200901_114742.jpg helen.jpg
