I've gone and done it again......taken a cutting of something that was obviously attractive at the time and now the label is sun-faded so I have no idea what it is. Whatever it is, it seems to be doing well. It's probably a shrub (??)

    Any answers appreciated.

Well, I don't think it would be lilac as I don't have room for them. As for taking cuttings of things in my garden yes I do sometimes do that to grow on and give to friends and family but this doesn't look like one of mine! Ah well, next lot of cuttings will have to have better non-fade markers in them.

Are you sure it's a cutting and not a bellpepper/chilli plant?

Now that you have mentioned a pepper I think that there may be a chance that it is that. I did plant a few pepper type things months ago so you could well be right. I will let it grow on and see if/what it produces.

If it turns out to be a pepper from seed and it didn't produce anything by autumn can I keep it in the shed over winter and bring it out next spring or should I just compost it???
