Ah, good, in a bad way , not just us then !

Sometimes if we look at the first searched site and then press the Go Back icon to look at another site on the search list, that Google message just goes blank and hangs the page.

It seems to give you the option of 'See More' or 'I Agree' or for you to go to 'privacy tools'.

I always switched all the Cookies off - or click on 'Reject All'. :blue thumb: But I don't use Firefox. :noidea:

Firefox support is nothing like it used to be sadly, so you will get things like this - not so much the message from Google (that is fairly standard with them), but the fact that it hangs when you click through.

I've ditched Firefox for Chrome (a long time now) and it is considerably more stable. Opera is also very good indeed if you want to stay away from Google products. Additionally, if you want a search engine that does not track you - DuckDuckGo

Don't have Chrome loaded atm, but just tried it on Edge and Googles Search message appeared , but only the once.
Closing then restarting Edge and the message does not re-apprear, but if we ran a Cleaner then the message returned, so assume Firefox is clearing the Cookies each time it closes.

I hate to think what it would cost if my internet connection was still on 'dial-up'. For instance, when I had decided to to leave Branston and his virgins, and try another ISP. I signed up to GMail for my emails. Then eventually VM agreed on a new monthly charge. So now my emails are split between two providers.

Attempting to contact Peter Beales Roses via their website. My account with them showed up yesterday, with a record of my orders. Today the website has changed. Why can't these geeks leave things alone. So I begin to communicate. My details come up automatically. Then starting the message. Box appears. My name is shown and my former ntlworld email address. I'm asked to add my new Gmail address. No you can't have that, someone else is already using it. Yes I know. It's mine. Time passes and Mike is getting more and more wound up.
So I try another way. Back on line. I search PB's website. OK contact us. Click and my details appear as if by magic. I type my message and finally discover, theres no provision for adding attachments. Oh well. Click submit. I am left wondering if my message really did get sent?????

              Hi @Mike Allen,

Am sure your Contact Us message will have gone though, but sometimes if they are busy some companies can take a couple of days to reply.

Have looked at their site and if we click on their email address it tries to open MS Mail ??
Think their web programmer needs to modify things!

If concerned just phone them up like the good old days ! :)

Further to what @Fat Controller has said here I'd like to add some quotes from my son that you might be interested in, he is experimenting at the moment.....

I've used DDG for a while. Right now, I'm trying out Qwant which is based in France and is also privacy friendly. Most browsers these days use Chromium, which is what Chrome is built on and the majority of websites optimise their sites for the likes of Chrome. I'm currently using Brave Browser. Very similar to Chrome but with much better privacy no tracking and is faster.

You can download Brave from www.brave.com. Qwant is just a search engine like Google or Bing so you can access that by going to www.qwant.com I haven't made any opinions of it yet, I only started using it this week.

Brave removes all the adverts which is why it's faster than the others. It makes looking at the web less distracting too. They use their own proprietary means of giving money to content creators. I like it.

I'm sure it's not 100% private, nothing on the web is. I've added extensions called uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger and HTTPS Everywhere to the browser for increased privacy.
