Favourite songs from way back when.

I thought I would be showing my age, but going by previous selections, I feel quite young.

I was born in 1957 so remember most of them and some from my older brothers.

This one is timeless for all the metalheads.

 

When i was little I remember we had a wind up gramophone and a lot of needles for it, I used to like it when it would wind down a bit and i would wind it up as it was playing.
Then we had a radiogram.

 

In the early 60's we had a combined tv and radio.
The tv was clever. After 'warming up' it would show a reasonable picture whilst you stood by it. But the moment you sat down the horizontal hold would allow the picture to slowly roll up or down.
I didn't mind that too much unless the wooden tops was on, cos that was my favourite.
But often mum would just play the radio on the set rather than having to keep messing with the controls.
At least the music back then was good.. Stones, Beach boys and Petula Clark.. She was a diamond.
