@arickster Here's an Echinopsis, that's been living outside under a glazed cover for the past two years.

And here's Bunny Ears Cactus, which lives outside. The copper sticks are to stop cats pooing in the soft dry earth.

We have a new house plant store here, I’ll see if they stock these, if not I’ve seen one on eBay :)

Opuntia, but lots, some can take being frozen solid, others need it frost free.

I love your alpines @kindredspirit. I'm very fond of alpines and cacti and it's a pleasure to pop into this thread every now and then and have a 'drool fest' (is that a real expression?!).
I have a modest little collection but nowhere is it near the quality of yours.
Well done on such superb plants

My next project is to build a little Alpine House, which'll be 50% Alpines and 50% Cactus. (Hopefully by the end of the year). I have some Alpines, which hate Winter Wet and that'll solve a problem for me.

I keep some of mine in a mini greenhouse, some inside the house over winter .I may have lost one or two plants, but most are looking good so far.
                    Good luck with your project.

Delightful plant. Petals only last less than a day but more come the following day.

Five assorted Cheilanthes growing outside, four of which were given to me as very young plants by @Sirius . I'm building an Alpine House and these will probably have to go in there eventually because of winter wet.
