Good thing about GC is that everyone is made welcome.
I try to steer clear of challenging others strong opinions, not because I'm soft, but because it always ends badly.
I think Shiney is spot on, it's easy to misinterpret what others put into print.
And lets face it, if anyone came on here with really offensive or aggressive posts I'm sure the moderators would shut them down pronto. ;)

Evidence? Everything I've read suggests that he has repeatedly condemned it.

Yes, I read that. Could well be a coincidence, it's a majority white country and they could just have been the most capable group of doctors who simply happened to be white. But you look at that group of people and only seem capable of interpreting the situation one way. How do you know their racial group, some could be Jewish and/or Hispanic. :dunno: Do you know the racial demographic in the region they're from? :dunno: Why is Trump obliged to have a black doctor?

Nothing should be based on skin colour. We should all be afforded the same opportunities based on ability but sadly that doesnt reflect reality. I have to admit I think things have gone too far the other way now, for example, black lives matter. So do white ones. Can you imagine how certain areas of the community would react if we had a white lives matter campaign? or a white music night after black music night on the radio or a month of celebrating white actors after the month celebrating black actors like we have on tv now. I think there would be civil unrest. Im also sick of hearing that not enough actors get an Oscar. Maybe, just maybe on that particular year there wasn't one that merited it. I get fed up with people claiming to be black when they are not. Obama (best president ever) and Lewis Hamilton (best F1 driver ever) in my opinion of course. They are NOT black they are mixed race. They are still brilliant people. I think going on about race all the time actually has the opposite effect as to what is wanted. Rather than resulting in equality its just making race more of an issue and creating more racist behaviour. The message I hear from minorities is 'we want to be equal' but all they keep saying is 'we are black' Stop pointing out our differences and recognise we are all just 'people' Im fed up with apologising for being white.

Not sure what this is trying to say, you cant tell me that in 4 or 5 yrs Trump is responsible for all that is going on, lots of this goes back years, but has been suppressed rather that faced and sorted out.
Its still here in the UK, but suppressed.

And all the time politicians dont face it and sort it out it will be there as an under current, and just making laws doesn't alter thinking.

All I know is, if a cop in America tells you to get out the car and stand still that is what you do.
You dont argue, you dont wander around, you do what he says.

You could probably get away with it here.

I wonder if those Military Doctors were really doctors ? A funny looking bunch. The little guy standing on the left had trousers on that were way too long for his little legs.
Probably just actors prdtending that the fittest, healthyest, bestest, orangeyest President had smashed the nasty Chinese Covid menance

That's what I always think, JUST COMPLY, simple as that! You're dealing with officers doing an incredibly stressful job who are often on edge. I can understand why people think they overreact because I thought the same myself before watching the Tulsa shooting video. Just shows you how quickly things can flip. BTW, please don't watch this if you are disturbed by this sort of thing, I know the video has a warning but it's easy to underestimate how shocking it is. Go read about it instead. :)

PMSL Yes, I think wherever we place ourselves on the political spectrum we can definitely all agree that he's the "orangeyest President" the US (and probably the world) has ever had, nearly spat my beer all over my keyboard reading that! :loll:

Many years ago, I was sent to Heathrow to collect a party of dignitaries and transport them to a meeting with council leaders, mayors and so on... anyway the directions that I had been given were duff (unbeknown to me of course) so I followed them up a ramp, in a double decker, to the upper level at the front of the terminal building. As I sat there, a police officer, armed with a fairly hefty looking automatic rifle approached the bus, so I stayed in the cab but opened the doors to let him come in if he wished. He stood at the door and barked "What are you doing here?" my response was very simple "Exactly whatever you tell me that you wish me to do - you are the one with the gun" His mood lightened and he asked for further info with a bit of a chuckle - he kindly gave me directions and as I was departing he turned and said "Oh... good answer by the way!" gave me a big grin and off I went.

I think it fair to say that I was somewhat bricking it at the time.

@Sheal The chap who supports Trump seems familiar and very well-informed, I think I've watched him before. I was really surprised when I started communicating online with Black American Conservatives, I thought the 'standard' term was "African-American" but most really objected to it and preferred "Black American" or simply "American". It was as if the term implied dual loyalty and undermined their allegiance to their country. It was actually they way many of them were treated by Leftist Whites and their fellow-Blacks that partly made me question being Left-wing, although I was really just a centre-left Socialist/Social Liberal. Although I'm now a Libertarian, I didn't abandon Liberalism or "the Left", they abandoned me when they started embracing fringe, Far-Left ideas!

I agree with the guy and don't think Trump has a bias against any race, but I do think he has a bias toward those who are traditionally and fervently patriotic! :heehee:

It's saying what folk songs have always said through the centuries, be careful of what you're told, how people act, what they say and what they're trying to get you to believe.

Sorry, I don't understand what I just said, either!

I've not seen him before but gather from my son he's made other reports. My son lives in America and says he backs a lot of what the chap said on the video. Trump apparently isn't as bad as he's made out to be, but Biden would be America's worst nightmare. If that's the case then I can understand people voting Trump back in, the devil they know.....:)
