Someone mentioned that their friend had what they thought were Covid symptoms, phoned the hotline and got an appointment. They went to the testing centre but the queue was over half a mile long, so they decided to go home again without having the test.

A few days later they received a letter from Test and Trace saying that their Covid result was positive! :rolleyespink:

I would guess that those that are self employed are likely to carry on working otherwise they would have no income.

Just found out that 3 nurses returning from a jolly in Cheshire were picked up on the way back in by the Welsh Old Bill. Each has received a tasty £1,000 fine for their troubles. If nurses can't be bothered what hope do we have?

According to official figures there are 296,008 nurses in the UK. In the absence of contrary evidence, that means 296,005 can be bothered, which I think is quite good grounds for hope.

Even Sky News associates lockdown with bog paper:

And I think Google Adds picked that foreign exchange speculation add because of the mentions of spread(ing) in the article.

Yet an SNP MP can knowingly travel up and down the country, get her hair done, visit a gym and doesn't get fined at all...

Did they really have to fine those nurses, or would a damn good talking to have been as effective?

It would be the sensible thing to do to everybody, sounds more like a money making scam to me.
