Flying in my bedroom, can anyone tell me what this insect is? Would love to know!

(Sorry about the awful photo, couldn't get a better one!)

There are lots of geese airborne again at the moment with flocks of a hundred or more regularly flying over.

@hydrogardener, it probably is now as for the first week or so it was joined (by coincidence) with a Grey Phalarope. It looked very healthy and constantly active, it hasn't been reported since I saw it on Tuesday so it may have moved on possibly still wanting to go South!

@Sheal, I imagine that they are either White Fronted or Pink Footed Geese, neither venture down here but mainly the West coast.

Thanks for the info Strongy. :) When they're in the sky they're just black silhouettes so I have no idea which ones they are.

A Red-breasted nuthatch, the first I have seen in many years, hopefully, it has a mate somewhere close by.

@hydrogardener, looks similar to our Nuthatch but without the black and white on the head.

Officially this is called a Dark-eyed Junco, we call them Snowbirds, because when they return the snow can't be far behind.

I guess this will be flying at some time . It was 'racing' across the lawn. I know it doesn't look much like a lawn but it's green :heehee:

Wildlife doing what wildlife does yesterday.
                      Today no birds in sight.
