    A few pics of yesterday's purchases ...

    Plants2.jpg

    Plants4.jpg

My favourite Hibiscus HibisQs® Petit™ Sunrise, they don't grow as large as the usual H sinensis, have smaller flowers and supposedly bloom non-stop till frost, which of course I don't get.

    Plants3.jpg

Have planted or put in pots just about all of them. Now have to find homes for a couple of other things I moved ... the Fuchsia tryphylla and a white Mandevilla and why I bought a white one years ago is beyond me.

Oh I love seeing everyone's purchases, especially the boxes, its like Christmas!

I'm busily day dreaming about what to purchase next, I've got some more spring bulbs that need to go out and I'm after a deutzia, but that might need to wait until Spring now.

Picked up these three Rhododendrons whilst away at Battle (near Hastings) from a nearby garden centre. £15 each, which I thought was ok :)

So am I amongst others @Sienna's Blossom but there's very few shrubs available on the internet at this time of year. I'm keeping an eye out for when the new supplies arrive.

May I ask which Deutzia you have your eye on please?

I like Strawberry Fields, I'd tried ordering one on ebay previously, but was sent a potentilla instead by mistake. Which one are you after @Sheal ?

I like strawberry fields @Sienna's Blossom but decided against it for my garden. I don't buy plants from Ebay, they can't be trusted to send the right item.

I'm after Deutzia Scabra 'Pride of Rochester'.

Had some seeds turn up yesterday from chiltern seeds , sowed a couple yesterday - thalictrum .d . album and some echiums amoenum .
                Also got -
                Eupatorium Ivory towers
                Tomato f1 apero
                Asclepias . tub
                Agastache Apache sunset
                cosmos veloutte
                Leonotis leonurus
                Neptea Govanina.

I were getting a Acer one of the Coral bark variety's probably winter flame but they doesn't seem to be many around so cost is high , my last quote were £600 for a 3 half foot plant, Nice plant but way over my budget more than double I were expecting to pay . I have found another plant cheaper I am not sure I like the shape and looks a bit weedy .

At Arley Hall gardens and nursery on Wednesday, the only thing I bought was some Wool Compost
Forgotten about until I opened the car boot this morning

My Hamelia patens (Firebush) plug arrived today from Spain but can't plant it due to inclement weather.

                    Firebush2.jpg

It can grow two feet first year and change leaf colour in the Autumn.

I may now have become an old git because I've bought one of these:

The Handy Large Garden Trolley | Wickes.co.uk

But I've got a new plot, now close enough to tug my rotovator there on it, reducing my need to drive there, and there's also room for a few flagons of cider :yay:

(And they're £15 cheaper than anywhere else).

Well, they had a few, but just liked the look of it, can image it in a few years with multiple flower spikes.
                              Has a faint scent.

Last night, on the way Home, I stopped off at the local Plant Nursery, (about 5 miles from Home), where they were selling off plants from 50p to £2
                                upload_2020-10-23_17-17-20.png

                                upload_2020-10-23_17-18-6.png

So I bought two Aruncus "Horatio", two Astilbes (one in a 3 litre pot and the other in a 5 litre pot), an Iris Siberica, a Centurea "Amethyst in Snow", a Alchemella Erythropoda Alma , a Primula Denticulata, and, what I think is, a Cirsium, and paid £8 for the lot!!
I reckon I can divide the 3 litre pot of Astilbes into two plants and the 5 litre pot into 4 plants quite easlly so it's even more of a bonus.:hapydancsmil::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:
