@ARMANDII that is pretty accurate! I let out a yelp and thought my elbows were going to dislocate. All the wet out there must have made a superior conduit. Glad I powdered my nose before I went out there. If I hadn't, things would have been even wetter :heehee:

The rain stopped today so I've been raking up leaves. 1 1/2 builders bags filled, I'll do the other lawn Friday hopefully.

I took a look at what is left of the B&Q General Purpose Compost 125 litre bales in the Garage and there were only two bales, plus the quarter full bale in the side passage between the House and the Garage, and decided to get next years order in before the prices go up.
So I drove over to Northwich and ordered 25 bales, paid for it, and was about to leave the Store when the Assistant asked me if I could wait 20 minutes and they would load the truck and follow me!! So, within an hour and a half of ordering the compost they stowed 20 bales in the Garage and 5 in the side passage.........now that's what I call service:love30::thumbsup:, and everything done with a smile and not letting me lift a finger.:dunno::heehee:

Pouring here. Greenhouse peach tree and black grape are dropping leaves so a tidy up there. The winter compost heap needs putting into place. This is a medium plastic container with a large screw lid also vents. I dig a hole, by garden path, then place the container partly into the hole then bank up the sides with soil to stop it blowing away also add a little heat perhaps. Kitchen stuff goes in there it will be removed in Spring and contents go to start next years compost heap off. It will be full of worms by then. Just hope I'm not the same. hoho Christmas?

I thought this was interesting. Went to our DIY shop to get more gravel for the Front of Casa Patio and some sand to top up the fur babies Sand Garden between Iochroma tree and Viburnum and they have turned the front of shop building (left front) into a drive- through for building materials. You drive up to say gravel, load it into your car, drive on to sand, load it then drive to the exit pay area where the girl comes and scans everything and you go to the Cashier to pay and off you drive!

Sand Garden a couple of years ago ... we have since moved the Bougainvillea "Torch Glow" Shrub out of the middle. Will get a new pic when it is finished.

Weeded the front garden, edged the grass and mowed it and put the second massive pile of cosmos into the garden waste bin and filled it again.
                  Pretty tired again :snooze:

Cut back some of the Japanese anemones and planted some more tulips, accidentally dug up 5 hyacinths where i wanted to plant the tulips, so i put the hyacinths back and planted the tulips by them. Cleared some grass that was growing in the border and planted seven small pots of purple crocus.

I filled another two builders bags with leaves today and despite it being breezy I finished raking the second lawn. By the end of this blowy weekend I'll be starting again.

We don't get a lot of leaves in our garden and i wanted them to cover the hedgehog houses with, so every day when we walk Barley i take a bin bag with me and fill it up from up the road, it's surprising how heavy they can be.

How many would you like @Logan? :) I've got the leaves but there are no hedgehogs in Scotland.

I haven't done much in the garden for a while but got some jobs done this week. While it rained the other day ( which is everyday at the moment) I played out in the greenhouse , tidied some pots away and disposed of another tomato plant and just general messing about making pots up etc.

Today I've removed the very large buddelia in the front garden .
                            DSC00769.JPG
Its very nice when in flower for 2 week and that why I've took it out , not enough interest throughout out the year. It was a gift so I were reluctant to take it out but space is premium. I've bought another plant to replace it but it hasn't arrived yet .

Well maybe up to three weeks but it doesn't last long or as long as black knight, it seems to spoils easier with it being white which doesn't help , and it white that little border behind it is my hot border no wonder I've thrown a wobbler . I would say what I 've replaced it with but that would ruin the surprise .
