    6.45 a.m. I've just got back from driving into town for shopping. When I left home the car showed 3C and it was raining fairly hard. On the way into town the temperature dropped to 2C (usually goes up as I approach town) and there was sleet in the air. Driving back it had dropped to zero and started intermittent snow and rain.

        Barometer was dropping like a stone all day yesterday, and in the last 24hrs I've measured 38mm of rain.

        Some wet slush out there this morning and 2c.

          :yikes: Thank goodness it's only 3 weeks to the shortest day, and 9 weeks to February. Not long now :biggrin: Gusts of wind up to 60kmh last night, here, and fairly heavy rain this morning, but not as cold...9C.

            Thick cloud with a gentle breeze from the north west temp -1
            The sleet has gone back to tonight if we get any.

            Asked Alexa if we were going to get sleet she didn't understand, but if she was asked what sleet is she said that it was frozen rain.:dunno:

              It is grey and breezy although I saw a glimmer of blue earlier. Currently 12c going to 16c with intermittent showers throughout the day and it was wet outside when Van and Munch went out at 8am. We are under warning of Wind from the West of 38km/h and gusts of 65km/h.

                No rain so far today, the skies are a lighter grey and the daylight a degree or two lighter. There's still no breeze, while the temperature at the moment is 38.8f and the pressure reading is 957hpa which is the lowest reading of the year.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

                                What a change from yesterday! It was like the middle of the night this morning and didn't improve. The wind is blowing, the rain has barely stopped and the house lights have been on all day. Although the temperature picked up to 4C/39F it still feels very cold with the wind coming from the north east.
