According to the new guidelines just issued, I'm going to have to cover the mirrors!

It said that we should try to avoid seeing the elderly.

Oh, is that who it is?

 

For a considerable chunk of the year, our department have been working from home, however that was relaxed in the summer and there was a rota in place where everyone (except me because of my vulnerable status) did a couple of days in the office. Absolutely no real need to do so, but our directors (and one of them in particular) does not like home working at all, despite the sheer volume of work that we churned out this year.

As things started to deteriorate in late September, I rolled my staff back out and got them to work at home unless in exceptional circumstances and ended up as popular as a fart in a spacesuit for referring the company to the government guidelines "you should work from home if you can" - - - they can, so therefore they should.... Some other folks attached to my department, one is my senior manager, continued to work in offices in more than one of our sites, and on Saturday two of them came down with Covid. One has tested positive, the other is awaiting the result and today we have another two confirmed cases, one at each of the sites they were at.

As you will guess, my popularity did not increase when I said that my decision to keep everyone home had proven to be correct......

 

What good will it do for me to wear gloves when having the injection? Will it be alright if I wear my Gardening Gloves?

 

Just a guess here @Scrungee but I have a sneaky feeling that there might be a small potential that they might cause some respiratory impairment.

 

I'd be raising a formal complaint about that @Jack McHammocklashing - or even getting it into the Sunday Post or something as that is just ridiculous. She is responsible for children - or supposed to be. The consequences of her actions if any children were to catch that and take it home and happened to be living with someone clinically extremely vulnerable do not even bear thinking about.
