I shop online at Tesco and Iceland, plus once a week we all go to Tesco Express, never that busy and the staff are lovely. But I was happier when they had a one way system.

Now that the Oxford Vaccine has been approved and can be stored in the Fridge, I wonder if this will speed up the jabs.

Oh and in Thanet 5 surgeries including mine are having to go to one Surgery miles out of town to get ours...........really annoying as I live 4 doors away from my own Surgery.

To me, staying safe during this pandemic is in many ways similar to driving on the roads today. I'm constantly on the look out and ready to react to the 'less careful' drivers. Just got to look after you and yours - because nobody else will...

A sad reflection of the times we live in.

I think the question is, were you distancing:smile:
And I dont mean that in a sarcastic way, what I actully mean is, were you able to distance?

To me the rules are totally stupid regarding people in a supermarket, its not possible unless you have a queue outside going right round the block, in which case people will just go somewhere else.
When I go shopping early they are filling the shelves and lots of time its the staff that are bumping in to you, they must get totally fed up with it all.
Often the aisles are so crammed with stuff that getting two trolleys passed one another is an issue, let alone trying to keep 6ft 6ins away.

I wasn't quick enough to distance as such - whilst I was watching and giving space for folk, others would simply pile round me or be right up my jacksie; I am not the quickest on my feet so it is quite hard for someone who is fully able to understand how horrible an experience it makes doing something simple like going to the supermarket.

I agree that it is nigh on impossible to fully distance for the very reasons you state, but there were quite a lot of instances where folks were so close they were at a similar distance to Mrs C and I in bed.

I think the masks are the key. At least if someone comes near me, their breathe is not in my face.

That's enough about your Covid sex life @Fat Controller . I don't want to be going into the New Year visualising you going to bed wearing a mask and whatever else goes with that scenario...

Well that'll never happen as over 75% of people have already been completely ignoring it and the police refuse to enforce it.

Has he lost touch with reality? Keep promising people an end to an intolerable situation and continually letting them down causes immense mental health problems.

We had to pop into Sainsbury’s for a few items today. There were several youngsters loaded up with drinks. Off to their New Year’s Eve party tonight would be my guess

We were maybe a wee bit early for that - it was mostly families that were in when we were there. Utterly horrid experience though, I have to say. I do struggle a lot with the masks, but I wear them because we need to, at least for now, but it wasn't only the mask that was the issue - folks too close, folks not looking and just charging about like there was no tomorrow.

Yes, it’s something I’ve observed since the beginning and said as much earlier in the thread. The basic guidance is so simple, yet folks still don’t get it. The government haven’t covered themselves in glory throughout this, but the solution has always been in ‘our’ own hands.

I admit I haven't seen it like that, but then that is the joys of shielding. I wasn't doing particularly well with situations like that before Covid, so it has only made things worse, especially being out of it completely for all those months. Costco has been nothing like that on the odd occasion I have been - very well organised and folks being generally sensible

Following on from above. Apparently it has been discovered that the time between the injections can now be lengthened. Question now is, could this have adverse affects later on.

It certainly appears that this virus has got everybody guessing, including the experts. I really do feel for the medical staff. I wonder if former government members ever have a troubled conscience, having made cut backs etc. Then considering the medical staff, and the racism that is still so evident in the UK. I watch and observe staff at Guy's. So many are almost asleep on their feet, yet they soldier on. What love, loyalty and devotion. Sorry. I am usually a very placid person but when I hear sombody slagging staff off, I could very easily jet stuck into them.

I am constanly worried about daughter Amanda. She is disabled and so frail, yet she risks her life so much, keeping an eye on me. I truly count my blessings.

                              Friends. Please stay Safe.
