Hi everyone, I've just had some oxalis triangularis bulbs delivered, I'm just wondering if anyone who grows them could kindly give me some advice on a good potting mix for them. Thanks.

Apart from extra attention being given to whether the plants is acid or alkaline loving. Consider the fact that the plant is going to be housed, contained in a pot or container. The last thing wanted is for the plant to rot away due to the retention of water in the container, so. A free draining compost, containting fibrouse laom plus grit and perhaps some perlite. When watering, submerge the pot, if possible and allow the air bubbles to escape. Remove from the water and leave to drain. Try and avoid little daily tipples of water. For larger containers. Same mix and give a good soak then leave until the compost is dry. Hope this helps.

I am inclined to water too often but they are quite thirsty plants. I make sure that it is quite gritty and they prefer it light but not sunlight as it can bleach / burn their leaves.
They quite like living outdoors as long as they don't get too cold so a sheltered spot is better.
They have plenty of babies so after a year or so, P1070403.jpg you will have plenty to pot up and share.

I've kept the oxalis in the greenhouse and now my wife has said she'd like one for the house in a nice round ceramic pot, I started them off in a 1 litre square plastic pot, so If she wants a round ceramic pot for the house I would have to have a pot around 9" to drop the pot as is into which will look ridiculous, so my question is, as i only planted them up on the 11th of September is it to early to start messing about with them now?

That one looks in fine fettle @mazambo ...roots are through the base nicely. It will happily repot from that square to a round that's just a bit bigger. Find a round pot that looks good in a new outer container that will fit( with a couple of millimeters space to add water) . Gently ease out the plant and set aside.
Place the empty square pot inside the new round one and gradually fill the space between them, gently insert the plant and water it. It will close it's leaves of course as it is "in shock" but, after a few hours, it will open again.
In a nice light, free draining compost mix it will be fine over Winter.
