I think when you're young you've got so much going on, so much to look forward to you hardly think about it, but when you hit the 60's (maybe 50's, 70's 80's I don't know ) I think it dawns on you what's left is an awful lot less than what's gone. It's strange over the last few weeks I've dusted off my wedding day photographs to look at and enjoy and remember special moments , and I think I've mentioned before my reluctance to join the likes of Facebook but with my daughter's encouragement I've joined and now am in contact with family and friends I haven't seen or spoken to in 30 or 40 years, it's like a subconscious thing maybe, you're trying to hang on to the past because there's not a lot of future left. A day is a day a week is a week and a year is a year in real terms but in emotional terms a bad day, week, year seems like forever and a good day, week, year seems to go in the blink of an eye. The older you get it does seem like life goes an awful lot quicker.
I think the question is life short or long can't be answered definitively because there really no right or wrong opinions , the life expectancy in the UK is 81 so with that figure in mind we can only say after the fact whether we think someone
had a short life or long life, to the question is it a feeling I'm inclined to say it's probably more of a perception. Well that's me done, I've confused myself :heehee:

I once said to my grandmother "Doesn't the time go quickly ..."
She replied "Wait till you're my age !"
and I am now older than she was when she said that to me :old::yikes:
