It's not on offer as yet...although Macron has taken some stick for taking too much time , things will move on because the French protest quickly... but there is a feeling that some do not like vaccines but I have not read this just speaking with people sometimes you get that impression.
    something else to research....:thud:

Iceland appear to be one of the best around my way - I might give them a shot this weekend and see.

We could do to take a lesson from our French cousins in that respect - if we were a bit quicker to torch a pile of cars outside parliament, maybe we wouldn't have the merry-go-round of idiots in charge that we do. Personally, I would start with Whitehall and go from there. Buildings themselves are nice, but they are full of idiots.

Morrisons is where we go. Never had a problem with queues or too many people in there to make social distancing difficult. We simply avoid going into areas of the shop where there are people without masks.

We did try Tesco's once - we felt very uncomfortable - it was like shopping in a petri dish.

Because of shielding, I have been very careful indeed and not been in many shops/supermarkets for almost a year; as mentioned earlier, we were forced into going to Tesco between Christmas and New Year and it was bloomin' horrendous - - I hated every minute of it, and could not wait to get out of the place.

Mrs C, bless her heart, is very good and will generally go and do what needs to be done if we can't get a delivery - I just be the chauffeur at that point - but, she is only little and can't reach everything and sometimes I don't know myself what I want until I see it or realise I should have bought it.

Costco is my only other experience, and have to say they had it down to a fine art - busy at some stages but scrupulously clean, loads of sanitiser being used and being extremely well managed.

We use this service for Extra Strong Cheddar Bacon and Bangers mainly, so this is more about Brexit but certainly involves the Covid Virus as we have only managed to book with ICELAND... but order through them for delivery to Taunton as a drop off, Tesco Asda will not take their orders now for many a month because the UK customers have to come 1st of course. But we have had several emails now saying.. they can no longer afford to supply us ,being an EU Country of course.

of course Iceland was all frozen stuff mostly but do more now, had our cheese bacon sausages some bit and bobs...ok not like Tesco's for sure but worth signing up for an account and looking at their items on offer...

Ummm....the young 'disaffecteds' (I'm trying to stay polite) that famously trash everything in their vicinity, in the big cities of France, aren't representative of 'the French', FC. They're mostly young 2nd, 3rd or 4th-generation North Africans. Yes, French agriculteurs get antsy and demonstrate too, sometimes semi-violently, but the bulk of us haven't quite been stirred-up and trampled over enough yet to start another revolution. Not yet. But we're not far off.

I did hear on two occasions certain persons say they are going slowly with Astra Zeneca jab at first to see if they get any bad reactions, so sounds like they are testing it a bit on the hop.

Regarding supermarkets, it depends on what time you hit them.

I go to morrisons at about 8.30 am, at that time the place is reasonably quiet but the queues for the checkouts are awful, but they always open more checkouts at 9am, so by the time I've been round the queues have gone but I'm early enough to miss the crowds.
Not that I'm bothered as such.

I just dont like people in general:biggrin:

Try Asda. I had problems with their deliveries only before Christmas (and it was £6!). But managed to book a delivery for 22nd December. On Wednesdays you can always find a £1 delivery.

when the farmers had changes put to them we saw around here they all turned out in their :paladin:Tractors blocked some of the roads..always could get through though..Police presence to observe....the farmers won the day....
obviously not so clever in Paris etc the last flare up of protesters, a few mobs joining in, causing so much violence...protest by all means but mob behaviour unacceptable, full stop.
