    This Covid virus has certainly set the world on fire. Talk about,'Three blind mice' Biblical notations of governments, not knowing the way out. Hells bells! this virus is wiping out, families, communities and more. The only ones benefitting are the undertakers. Day in and day out. Here in the UK. We are bombarded by the news. Political parties are having a go at each other. Why all this controversy? Our scientist have really gone to town, studied, researched and in no time at all, have produced a vaccine. In practical language. This to me is an illustration. We are as it might be. On a sinking ship. How much longer will you stand at the rails, watching rafts and suitable debris float past, things items article that might give you safety? For goodnessake. Take a chance. Go for it. Sorry chum. No it's not nice, spitting and spluttering to breathe. Eeven if our government sometimes make mistakes. This is a one off.

      @Scrungee

      P.S. My tiredness/fatigue side effect completely dissapeared today. Had 1 small glass of wine as I've avoided alcohol for 4 days.[/QUOTE]

      I had a similar adverse reaction to my AZ jab. By the evening I felt fluey, achy and started to shiver.
      In bed by eight - with a Lemsip and slept heavy and got up 12 hours later. Felt like "the morning after the night before" and was listless all morning then, at 2pm , my strength came back and I ate like a horse. I knew my body had been fighting an alien but I WON...
      that's the main thing.

        Single Pfizer-BioNTech dose gives 90% protection after 21 days, early analysis from University of East Anglia shows:smile:

          So why do they need 2 jabs? I thought 90% protection was about as good as you can expect.
          I understand our annual flu jab is 60-70% protection. If they can develop a single jab vaccine that can be kept at fridge temperatures this would be a huge jump, as I expect that there is a high possibility of needing annual covid jabs, at least for the over 60's.

            I assume the second jab gives you a longer lasting immunity.

            See they are now saying that the rapid tests are not accurate and miss lots of cases.

            Never could see how a test where you poke a swab down you own throat and one up your own nose is likely to be that accurate.
            How do they know your poking it up, or down, far enough.
            Most people are only going to go so far.
