Interestingly (well, not really :heehee:), and very much against the consensus on this thread, I'm really not keen on Adam Frost; I find him very "hammy" as a presenter, and I detest the way he talks about "Mrs Frost/Her Indoors", which isn't something that usually gets my back up quite so much. The episodes he covers are my least favourite :dunno:

I like Rachel de Thame's presenting style but I find the blatant expense of her garden (that new veg plot!) a bit hard to relate to, beautiful though it is. My favourite alternative to Monty is probably actually Frances Tophill; I wasn't keen at first, especially that odd series where she was sharing an allotment, but she's grown on me more and more the last couple of years.

Monty’s garden over the years........He considers this a minor inconvenience.

I have just been watching Monty's series of American gardens. Trust me. It's well worth watching.

I have to admit. At one time I didn't go much on him or his gardening. However. Now, he is much admired by me, as a really great garden writer. Watching his presentations. He is relaxed, very knowledgeable, certainly does, along with his team research his subject. He is so easy and relaxed.

A reminder to all fans of Carol K, this coming Thursday on Channel 5 at 7pm, there is a new programme"Gardening with Carol Klein", a two parter.
It's from her cottage garden in Devon, which is an added bonus.:)
