Good morning all, as you can see it’s raining heavy here “Up North” think I’ll stay indoors, don’t want any claws or fur balls on my head :heehee:
Going to paint my new greenhouse frame with weatherproof paint, my last one, the wood just peeled off on the sides.
Shiney think I’d have to get a few trains to where you live, it would take me hours :heehee:
Morning to anyone else who is rising :hapydancsmil:

Woke up feeling out of sorts, then realised...:ideaIPB: we have been done out of an hour’s sleep!
I shouldn’t have put the clock forward last night until today.
Grey windy weather here today, not great.
Still, there is steak and mushrooms for lunch, and apple crumble, so not all bad.:)

I remember, in my younger days in the 1950's :old:, hitchhiking with a friend from London to Devon and back and all round the county for our summer holiday. :)

I used to hitchhike too @shiney .....god forbid you just wouldn't even contemplate such a thing these days ,especially women. We hitched back from a pop festival that was up north when I was 17 . And then spent a summer holiday staying in Youth Hostels and hitching ( and walking)all around Dorset, Cornwall and Devon.....those were the days!!

Scary thinking back now, youth made you think you were beyond dangers.

We're in for a super sunny day today...what a great start to the week...albeit only for a few days. Never mind, it will give us a taster of days to come.

                      Enjoy your day!!:spinning:

                        Aloha everyone,

The forecast is good but not so nice at the moment. Heavily overcast and strong winds.

I'm planning on a lot of mowing today but I first need to dig out well over three dozen cowslips and primroses from one of the lawns where they have suddenly popped up amongst all the cyclamen that are galloping across that lawn. :rolleyespink: We can sell all of them :blue thumb: but I don't know whether my back can take it :phew:

We have now organised for some friends (two couples) to come and sit in our garden at the weekend - tea, cakes and possibly a delivery of a nice Indian meal. Our tables under the pergola easily allow distancing and they all need the break as they have high pressure jobs. It was good to see their faces light up on Zoom yesterday when we invited them. We know we're fortunate to have plenty of space in which to do it. They certainly don't! One couple has a back yard that is so small that you couldn't distance three couples even if you tried. :noidea:

It won't be too warm by then but we can wrap up well. :)

                        Keep well

                        Aloha!

We're still conscious of making sure we keep distanced but it will be lovely to just sit and socialise. These people are our main helpers at our open garden (they run the kitchen and the bookstall) and give up their whole bank holiday to help us despite working extremely hard all week and having to travel a distance to us each time (a good hour away if the roads are OK).
